Rawlings constructs the catching surface of their Heart of the Hide mitts with top-grade U.S. Steerhide and this material will be able to handle the rigors of a grueling high school, college or summer season. And to match the catching surface’s quality, the mitt’s hand slot is made from a deer-tanned cowhide that will be extra comfortable on a player’s hand!

This Heart of the Hide is going to have a backing material that is made of Hyper Shell. The Hyper Shell is made from a carbon weave material that is going to be durable and lighter in weight than regular leather. At JustGloves, we also believe that the Hyper Shell will make the glove easier to break in. Lastly, the mitt will have a 34″ circumference to it which should suit a high school or college baseball player extremely well!
